FLOATING DOCKS

FLOATING DOCKS
As the name suggests, this kind of dock does not stay in one place; it moves. Therefore, it has to be secured in place with the aid of cables; they serve as underwater anchors. These anchors are created from poles or logs made of wood. Rollers are placed on this dock. In turn, an inclined surface rests on the rollers; this inclined plane serves as a connection between river/sea and shore. Since the rollers are there, it becomes possible to adjust the docks in alignment with the motion of the water flowing underneath the dock. Your floating dock acquires its buoyancy through Styrofoam billets, which also prevent water logging. All in all, it has a highly adjustable nature, even permitting equal distribution of weight.
